About Behind the Moon Business Networking
Behind The Moon Denver business networking first started with one small “business network meeting” in June, 2004. From this evolved a loosely-organized membership-based group where fees, leads and referrals were not required. We were a fun group and thoroughly enjoyed our monthly networking meetings. We called ourselves It’s a Small World as our focus was on a specific industry, namely babies and young families.
Our networking efforts were so successful, that word about our existence and its benefits began to spread. Companies from other industries requested to participate. We reluctantly turned them away, since this ran counter to our original decision to admit only “power partner” businesses which catered to babies and young families.
We soon realized that we could support and assist each other in our business endeavors regardless of the industry we represented. As a result, “It’s a Small World” bust open its doors and now enjoys a wonderful mix of businesses, representing a variety of fields and industries. In the spirit of It’s A Small World, Behind the Moon now organizes several monthly Denver business networking opportunities.
We welcome you to our website and our business networking events, where we strive to provide a unique means to promote small businesses in an environment that fosters the greatest opportunity to network and meet new people. Check us out and introduce yourself – you might bump into someone with just the product, service or expertise you are looking for. Or, you might just meet someone who has been searching for what you have to offer.

As we celebrate our 5th anniversary, I reflect back on the time when I intentionally and purposefully set out to bring BTM's Mission to realization. I certainly had much help along the way and have many to thank. First, I give thanks to the more than 2,500 who have participated in BTM networking events over the last 5 years. Second, I appreciate each and every Member who has joined our program, referred their colleagues and helped others grow their business. Third, I express my sincere gratitude to our Event Hosts who maintain BTM's uniformity and reinforce a hospitable, gracious, and productive event atmosphere. Fourth, my gratitude goes to Nicole, my loyal virtual assistant who runs much of what goes on behind the scenes and keeps me in line (hard to do). Finally, I am indebted to BTM's Power Panel of Advisors for their immeasurable guidance and support every step of the way. Without the efforts of ALL involved, Behind The Moon would not be the professional business networking organization it is today. To all of you, I am very grateful!
